  •   c. For DSIM Category: Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.
  • 3. Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962.
  • 4. Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the RBI Grade B exam up to 6 times. However, there is no limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories.

Prelims Exam Pattern 2023

The RBI Grade B Prelims Exam Pattern 2023 is as follows:

  • 1. The exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • 2. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours or 120 minutes.
  • 3. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • 4. There will be a total of 200 questions carrying 200 marks.
  • 5. The exam will be divided into four sections:

a. General Awareness

b. English Language

c. Quantitative Aptitude

d. Reasoning

  • 6. Each section will have 50 questions carrying 50 marks.
  • 7. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
  • 8. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exam.

Note: There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective papers.
